The cooling system of your vehicle requires regular inspection, not just checking the level, but also the anti-freeze all year round as a corrosion inhibitor as well as to stop the water from freezing in the winter time and damaging the engine.
Checking for any water leaks from around the radiator and the coolant pipes in the engine bay is also something you should be doing regularly. Early repairs can save you big expense as your engine is required to run at its optimum temperature and not over heat.
The more modern vehicle is harder to inspect around the engine bay, because of its engine covers. If the coolant level keeps dropping, there is a good chance there is a leak somewhere around the coolant system and should be inspected at your local garage ASAP.
